Welcome to CUSAGC
Welcome to the CUSAGC website!
Membership forms are available from the Forms and Documents page.
Whether you are a current member, a fogie, a potential member, or simply browsing, I hope that you find everything that you are looking for here.
CUSAGC (the Cambridge University Scout and Guide Club) is unique amongst Cambridge societies in terms of the number and variety of events run for its members. We offer adventurous activities, including walking, climbing, cycling, sailing, kayaking, and orienteering; social activities, including lunches, formal halls, debates and cinema trips; and service events, including an incident hike for Scout and Guides, an activity day for Cubs, Brownies, Beavers and Rainbows and a hike for Explorers and Guide Senior Section. Our current programme is available online.
Unlike many Cambridge clubs, we do not shut down outside term-time. We run major trips (usually to somewhere hilly) in the Christmas, Easter and summer holidays. The club also owns some equipment (including its own punt), which it can loan to members.
You do not need to have been a Scout or Guide before to get involved, you just need to be interested in the events we run. On the other hand, we do have links with local Scouts and Guides so if you want to help with a group we can help to set that up.
If you have any unanswered questions, would like to know more or are thinking of joining, then please contact me. Happy browsing!
